Your privacy, in plain English.

The short version

Kinbria is a free co-parenting communication platform owned and operated by Draco Inc. We collect only what we need to run the service and to create trustworthy, court-ready records. We do not sell your data, we do not run third-party advertising code, and we do not use your conversations to build advertising profiles. Your messages are encrypted while stored — scrambled so they can't be read by anyone who shouldn't — and protected by strict access controls.

One thing we want to be completely honest about up front: Kinbria is not "zero-knowledge" or end-to-end encrypted. Your content is encrypted while stored and in transit, but the system owner and authorized administrators at Draco Inc. can access message content. This is a deliberate design choice, not an oversight. It is what makes it possible for us to generate certified records for court — sealed, dated official copies built to prove on their own that they're genuine — and to comply with lawful legal process. If content were hidden even from us, we could not produce those records. We would rather tell you this plainly than imply a level of secrecy we do not provide.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Kinbria web app at /app, the Kinbria iOS app for iPhone and iPad, our public record-verification pages, and the marketing site you are reading now. Kinbria is available in the United States only at launch. If you use Kinbria, this policy describes how we treat your information.

1. Information we collect

We try to collect as little as we can while still running a reliable, evidence-grade service. What we hold falls into a few categories.

Information you give us

• Account details — your name, email address, and phone number (used for sign-in, two-factor sign-in — a second step that confirms it's really you — and notifications).
• Co-parenting information — the messages you send, calendar events and changes, expense or schedule entries you create, and any children's first names or nicknames you add to organize your account.
• People you invite — when you invite a view-only participant (for example a lawyer, mediator, guardian ad litem, or family member), we store what is needed to give them limited access.
• Support and correspondence — messages you send to our contact form or our contact form, and any details you choose to share when you contact us.

Information created as you use Kinbria

• The record itself — every message and every calendar change is written to a permanent record that only adds, never edits or erases. Each entry is sealed to the one before it and carries a timestamp, so any change would show — the record can't be secretly altered.
• Verification and certification data — the digital seals, trusted date stamps, and short codes we generate so that anyone can independently confirm a record is genuine and unchanged.
• Optional location check-ins — if you turn on approximate GPS check-ins (a feature you choose to enable), we store the rough location and time of a check-in you choose to make. This is off unless you enable it.

Technical and device information

• Security and diagnostic logs — IP address, browser or device type, timestamps of sign-ins and key actions, and error information. We use these to keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• Essential cookies and tokens — the session and security tokens needed to keep you signed in and protect your account. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Provide the core service — delivering messages, syncing calendars, and keeping your account working across web and iOS.
• Create and preserve the permanent record that can't be secretly changed — the reason Kinbria exists.
• Generate certified records — a sealed, dated official copy carrying a digital seal, a trusted date stamp, and a written certification from a records custodian at Draco Inc. It's built to prove on its own that it's genuine, so you shouldn't need a witness just to confirm the file is real when you or a court need it.
• Power the public verification page at /verify/{code}, which lets anyone confirm a record is genuine and unchanged without logging in and without ever revealing the content.
• Protect accounts and safety — two-factor sign-in, sign-in responses that don't reveal whether an account exists, abuse prevention, and the domestic-violence safety features described below.
• Send necessary notifications — new-message alerts, calendar changes, and security notices. There are no live read-receipts.
• Respond to your support and privacy requests.
• Comply with the law and respond to valid legal process.

We do not use your co-parenting content to build advertising profiles, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

3. Who can see your messages

This is the section people care about most, so we will be direct. Message content and calendar activity in a conversation are visible to:

• The two parents in that co-parenting relationship.
• Any view-only participants a parent has invited — for example a lawyer, mediator, or family member — who can read but not send or alter messages. Invitations are owner-initiated; a participant cannot add themselves.
• The system owner and authorized administrators at Draco Inc., who can access content when necessary to operate the service, generate certified records, provide support, protect safety, or comply with the law.

That is the complete list. We do not expose your conversations to advertisers, and we do not give other users, employers, or the public access to your content. The public verification page confirms only that a record is authentic and unaltered — it never displays the message itself.

Because Kinbria is designed for court use, records are shared between the two co-parents by nature: a message you send becomes part of the shared, permanent record of that relationship. You cannot unilaterally erase the copy your co-parent lawfully received. See Your choices below.

4. Encryption, security, and retention

Encryption

Message content is encrypted at rest using per-conversation keys, and all traffic between your device and Kinbria is protected with TLS. As noted above, this is strong encryption-at-rest plus access control — it is not zero-knowledge or true end-to-end encryption. The owner and the server can access content, by design, so that we can generate court records and honor lawful requests. We will not overstate this.

Security

• Mandatory two-factor authentication for protected accounts.
• Sign-in responses that give nothing away, so an attacker cannot confirm whether an account or invitation exists.
• Owner-initiated invites only, with no live read-receipts.
• The native iOS app supports a biometric lock.
• Encryption in transit and at rest, plus monitoring and logging to detect and respond to abuse.

Retention — why records are permanent

Kinbria's value comes from records that cannot be quietly altered or deleted. Entries in the permanent record can't be edited or deleted, and are kept for their evidence purpose. Once a day, the whole record is date-stamped by an independent, trusted third party, which means even the operator cannot secretly rewrite history.

Practically, this means: your account information is kept while your account is active and for as long as we reasonably need it afterward for security, dispute, and legal reasons; and the permanent co-parenting record — the messages and calendar changes that both parents relied on — is kept as the shared legal record of your communication, even if one party later wants it gone. This permanence is the feature, not a bug, and it protects both parents equally.

5. Children's data

Kinbria is a tool for parents, not for children. Accounts are for adults. We deliberately minimize any information about children: typically just a first name or nickname a parent adds to keep schedules and messages organized. We do not create profiles of children, we do not knowingly let children create accounts, and we do not use children's information for advertising. If you believe a child has created an account or that we hold more children's information than necessary, contact our contact form and we will address it.

6. Safety features for at-risk families

Some co-parents come to Kinbria out of a history of conflict or domestic violence. We build for that reality. Protected accounts require two-factor authentication; sign-in responses give nothing away, so no one can confirm whether you have an account; invitations can only be started by the account owner; there are no live read-receipts that could reveal when you are online; location check-ins are strictly opt-in and approximate; and emergency delete/hide controls let you remove sensitive content from view on a shared device. If cost is a barrier or you are in a hardship or domestic-violence situation, free access is automatic — Kinbria is free for everyone, and you never pay to read, export, or share your own messages or records.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access and export — you can view and export your own messages and records, including certified copies designed for court use.
• Correction — you can update account details such as your name, email, and phone number. Note that the messages and calendar changes in the record are intentionally permanent and cannot be edited after the fact; that is what makes them trustworthy.
• Deletion — you may close your account and request deletion of your personal profile information. However, records already shared with a co-parent are kept as the legal record of your communication and cannot be individually erased. This protects both parents' ability to rely on what was actually said.
• Notification preferences — you control most notifications, though certain security notices are always sent.
• Optional features — location check-ins and similar features are off until you turn them on, and you can turn them back off.

To make any of these requests, use our contact form. We will verify your identity before acting on a request that affects an account.

8. How we share information

We share personal information only in limited, necessary ways:

• With the other participants in your co-parenting relationship, as described above — that is the core function of the service.
• With service providers that help us run Kinbria (for example, secure hosting and the independent trusted-timestamp authority), bound by confidentiality and permitted to use the data only to provide their service to us.
• For legal reasons — to comply with valid legal process, enforce our terms, or protect the safety of people and the integrity of the record.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not embed third-party advertising SDKs or trackers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Kinbria grows — for example, when the iOS app launches or when we add features. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Kinbria after a change means you accept the updated policy.
